Nest I/O

Nest I/O is a dynamic interior transformation by Orphic, reimagining a 6,000 sqft Karachi space into a vibrant technology incubator and community hub. Designed for P@SHA in collaboration with Google for Entrepreneurs, Samsung, and supported by a US State Department grant, the interior blends lively color palettes, versatile work zones, and inspiring artwork to stimulate creativity and collaboration among young entrepreneurs. Embracing budget-conscious, eco-friendly principles, much of the furniture and décor was upcycled, reinforcing sustainability while maintaining high design impact. Every element—from animated communal areas to focused work pods—fosters connection, innovation, and the growth of the next generation of tech startups.

I was in the past. She was mindful. I was mindless.

The Design Narrative:

  • Project Overview
“Set within a serene expanse of 40 acres of lush greenery, the Akhuwat College Library is more than a building—it is a symbol of Akhuwat’s unwavering commitment to knowledge, growth, and intellectual empowerment. Designed with reverence for the existing campus identity, the library’s architecture seamlessly merges tradition with innovation.”
  • Architectural Vision
“The library’s exterior exudes a quiet authority, crafted to evoke a sense of wonder and purpose. With a bold yet graceful presence, the design asserts the library’s role as the intellectual heart of the campus. Contemporary materials and advanced construction methodologies are harmonized with contextual elements to maintain architectural continuity across the campus.”
  • Interior Experience
"Crossing the threshold into the library reveals a thoughtfully curated space that prioritizes warmth, inclusivity, and inspiration. The interiors are designed to foster both focused study and collaborative engagement. A variety of well-lit reading areas, comfortable seating, and interactive zones support diverse learning styles. Whether in open commons or quiet corners, students are encouraged to connect, reflect, and grow."

Carefully envisioned to support focus, curiosity, and collaboration, the Akhuwat College Library isn’t just a space—it’s a tool for intellectual growth. Every detail is shaped with intention, offering students a place to think deeper, connect meaningfully, and thrive in an environment built for learning.
